Yoshitaka Taira is a prominent figure in the world of karate, holding the rank of 10th Dan Hanshi. He is the current President of the World Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate-Do Association (WMKA), a position he has held since the passing of his teacher, O'Sensei Shoshin Nagamine, who founded the Matsubayashi-Ryu style in 1947. Taira Sensei has dedicated his life to the practice and teaching of karate, emphasizing the importance of natural breathing and efficient movement in martial arts.
